The MS2 User Conference is the event to ensure users get maximum benefits from the powerful web-based
Transportation Data Management Systems (TMS) including the widely used
Traffic Count Database System (TCDS).

Featured Speaker
Steven Jessberger Biography (2010)
Steven Jessberger has been a Transportation Engineer for 11 years and graduated from
the Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree. He currently works for
the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Office of Highway
Policy Information in Washington D.C. In this position he is the program manager for the
new Travel Monitoring Analysis System (TMAS) software. This system is used to produce
the monthly data for the nationally and internationally distributed Traffic Volume Trends
(TVT) report.
Prior to taking his current position with FHWA, Steven held Engineering and other
positions for 15 years at the Ohio Department of Transportation. Steven also served as
a Metrologist in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and then for Borden Incorporated as a
Researcher.
Steven also has served 8 years on the TRB Traffic Expert Task Group for the Long Term
Pavement Performance (LTPP) program. He is also appointed as the FHWA organizer and
Technical Liaison for the Non-Intrusive Technology (phase III) and the Loop/Length Based
Vehicle Classification pooled funds.
MS2 is proud to welcome Steven Jessberger from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
to speak on FHWA's role in Vehicle Miles Travelled (VMT) and how local traffic
count data is utilized on the state and national level.
Mr. Jessberger currently works as a Transportation Engineer in FHWA's Traffic
Monitoring and Survey Division. In this position, he is the program manager for the
new Travel Monitoring Analysis System software, which is used to produce the monthly
data for the nationally and internationally distributed Traffic Volume Trends report.
